   John 2:13-25

  1. Jesus get's angry over the commercialization of the temple space, to protect the ability of the nations to worship. How might he feel about current worship practices? Is there any ways the church in general uses commercialization that marginalizes, or takes away the space for others to worship?

  2. In your own anger, have you ever felt animalistic? Where there's a part of you that feels more like an animal?

  3. Can you identify the last time you were mad, and think about what made you mad? What are you trying to protect? What is lost or feeling threatened? Is that the real reason, or is there actually something about your own exposure that you are feeling threatened?  Is it possible, that you are mad because this event or action exposes something about yourself you want to keep hidden?

  4. How might you be taking up space in your life with all the marketplace aspects of society, just making life work - and missing out on making space in your life for worship of God. Time with God gets smaller and smaller. What space in your life, is Jesus eager to fight to reclaim with you?

  5. Off the Wall: What does it look like when Jesus raids the temple? Is there a painting you'e seen that captures it?
