As followers of Jesus Christ, we have been brought into the family of God where we value each other and we are learning to practice the priesthood of all believers by equipping one another for ministry... and this absolutely includes our children!
How it Works
At Living Hope our children's ministry takes place on Sunday mornings after the kids are dismissed from the main worship service. When you drop your kids off at their classroom you will need to sign them in and we ask that parents pick up their children promptly after the worship service is over.
Our classes are divided into four age groups:
- Nursery (0-2)
- Preschool (3-5)
- Theo's Place (6-8)
- PT913 (9-13)
If you are a new family, we ask that you first fill out a Student Record Form either at your child's class when you drop them off or download it here (link at the bottom), fill it out and email it to us or print it and bring it with you to Sunday School. This requirement is best practice under our Safety & Risk Management Policy to make sure our kids are safe and well-cared for.
Our teachers use The Gospel Project curriculum with each different class studying the same Biblical story using lessons adapted for their specific age group. Each week the two older groups will watch a Gospel Project video all together in one class before they separate into their specific groups for teaching, discussion and games. In the preschool class they will have their Gospel Project lesson along with music, crafts, games - and of course, snacks! Little ones in the nursery spend their time playing and if they are old enough, enjoy a snack as well.
"The Gospel Project takes kids on a Christ-centered, chronological journey through Scripture. Kids will discover how the gospel unfolds from Genesis through Revelation. When kids truly experience the gospel, their hearts are transformed. It is the gospel, not good behavior, that changes everything." - The Gospel Project
