Sermon Questions:

    1. What is your relationship with your father like? If you're willing to share with your small group or, in your journal: describe your childhood relationship and your adult relationship with your father. What are some key moments?

    2. What expectations does your mother have of you? How does meeting or failing to meet those, affect the times you meet with her?    Virtue Pair: Participation and Covenant

    3. We can be expressions of father or mother to those in our congregation who need good parental figures. Through mentorship, or other ways of caring and guiding and blessing (most importantly). How is God giving you an opportunity to participate in that in the congregation?

    4. How does our society make it difficult for fathers and mothers to be good parents? What does it look like to resist that, or work against those difficulties to help parents?

 5. Off the Wall: What does the joy of the father look like to you? Is there a photo you keep, or have seen that portrays the joy of the father?
