Questions:

1. Do you feel connected to the foundation of the gospel, the gospel of Jesus Christ and him crucified? In what ways do you feel distant or uncomfortable or disconnected from that foundation? How could you be more connected to it? What understanding, or practice could help you connect to the gospel in your life in the church and in the world?

2. We are the temple of God together, with Christians across time and space. In what way is it harder to feel like the temple of God in this season? In what ways are you able to participate in that reality in this season?

3. Do you fee freedom in Jesus Christ? Free in what way?

4. Does freedom feel different if it is freedom for you to act and do what you want or freedom to love others and serve?

5. Off the Wall: Metaphor is a very powerful way of making meaningful sense about the world around us. Paul uses a few metaphors for the church such as body, temple, household of God, bride of Christ and a few others. Which metaphor is your favourite? Why? And then also, What aspects of that metaphor are problematic? Or, what aspects of the other metaphors capture something not found in your favourite one?
